The Currency field type is linked to columns of type Currency in the Alloy table.
This field is used to capture and validate monetary values, ensuring that the information entered is within specified numeric ranges and properly formatted as currency.
When reviewing the value entered in this field, the appropriate currency symbol (e.g., $, €, £) will be displayed alongside the number, providing clear context that the value represents a monetary amount. You can configure the currency in the table view from the Data tab.
Pre-fill the Currency field with a specific monetary amount when the form is first loaded.
This can be useful for setting a standard amount or frequently used value to guide users. If no default value is set, the field will be empty, prompting the user to enter a value manually.
Min Value: This setting specifies the minimum allowable monetary value that can be entered in the field.
Max Value: This setting limits the maximum allowable monetary value in the field.
