Manage page types

Pages are how you display data tables to your end users. Learn to set up three types of AppAlloy pages today!

What is Page?

Page is how you view your data table in AppAlloy.

Unlike Record view or Form View, two table views are generated directly from the data table; you can create a new page, based on the imported tables available, or simply a blank page.

Custom pages

Pages can be created by the below three options:

  • View From’ should be used to view all items with a specified data source.

  • Canvas’ is a blank page, created for you to design your own page

  • Form of’ is the ‘Form View’, to gather user data to one specific data source.

Settings page

The Settings page is added to all apps by default. This page is where the end users can

  • View the current team that owns or manages the app,

  • Access and edit their profile information,

  • Navigate to the notification center for managing alerts and messages,

  • Get the option for signing out of the app.

Notifications page

The Notifications page lies within the Settings page. This is where users can see all the notifications on the updates or new comments on the records to which they are subscribed.

View all pages

On the bottom of the screen, there is a horizontal menu bar on the page.

Based on the order of your page, from top to bottom, your pages appear on the bottom bar from left to right. The Settings page is always the last one on the right.

However, the maximum number of pages on the bottom bar is 5, including the Settings page.

If there are more than 5 pages, the "More" page will appear. Access this page you can see all the pages that are not on the bar, including the Settings page.

Rename a page

The page name is the one shown on the right sidebar of the Design tab. By default, it is set after the name of the linked data table.

To change its name:

  • Click right on the page

  • Choose Rename

  • Write a new name and press Enter to save

Duplicate a page

The ability to duplicate a page helps you save time and effort to save a copy of a page instead of creating it all over again.

To duplicate a page:

  • Click right on the page

  • Choose Duplicate

Hide a page

On any type of page, you can always hide/unhide your page by two options:

  • Option 1: Under the 'Design' tab, click on the Eye icon next to the page component.

  • Option 2: Under the 'Tab' section, click on the Hidden option to choose Yes/No to view the page.

These two options are equal and automatically synced if one of them is changed.

Delete a page

To delete a page:

  • Click right on the page

  • Choose Delete
