What is app appearance?

App appearance refers to the visual elements that define how your app looks and feels to users on public sites. This includes everything from the app icon and name to the colors and descriptions used within the app.

A well-designed appearance enhances user experience, reinforces your brand identity, and makes your app more attractive and easier to use.

In AppAlloy, managing app appearance is simple, allowing you to create a cohesive and professional look that resonates with your target audience.

Manage appearance settings

To go to the appearance settings:

  • Open the App Editor, and go to the Settings tab

  • Click the Appearance section on the left sidebar

Here you can configure the branding & accent of your app.

Set an App Icon

The app icon is the first visual element users see, representing your app on the home screen and in app stores. A well-designed icon should be simple, memorable, and reflective of your app’s purpose.

In AppAlloy, you can set the app logo by:

  • Clicking on the icon and choosing another one from our collection of app icons, or

  • Clicking the Upload button and uploading the logo file from your device.

Set an App Name

The app name is another key identifier, helping users easily recognize and recall your app.

Choose a name that is clear, concise, and relevant to the app's functionality.

In AppAlloy, you can easily set or update your app name, ensuring it aligns with your brand and is easy for users to remember.

Write a Description

The app description provides a brief overview of what your app does. This is your opportunity to communicate the app's purpose and benefits to users.

Keep it clear and engaging, highlighting key features and use cases.

In AppAlloy, you can edit your app’s description to accurately reflect its latest updates and capabilities.

Set Theme Color

The theme color defines the overall look and feel of your app, also the color of button, setting the tone and enhancing user experience.

In AppAlloy, we recommend you 8 colors for the optimized accent color. Choose one and the app is automatically adjusted to the new accent color.
